BARRE CLASSES

Barre fitness is a hybrid workout class - combining ballet-inspired moves with elements of Pilates, dance, yoga and strength training. Most classes incorporate a ballet barre and use classic dance moves such as plies, alongside static stretches.

Barre also focuses on high reps of small range movements.

 
Please note, due to Alberta Government guidelines we are only offering low impact versions of our classes.
We will not be running any cardio or high impact classes until further notice.

BUNS BUNS BUNS

This lower body focused barre class will help strengthen joints and muscles, and effectively target your legs and core. We will start with centre 

warm-up and cardio blast after that it’s all in the legs! Exercises throughout class will be completed at the barre and on the floor. Be prepared to feel that burn!

UPPER BODY SWEAT

This class focuses on creating stamina in the body. We move through a full body workout using light hand weights to target the upper body and challenge your balance. Exercises are completed in the center, the floor and at the Barre. Be prepared to work your mind and body in this class!

FULL BODY BARRE

Exactly what it sounds like! A little arms, a little cardio, a little buns. Working our bodies and minds from head to toe!

HEARTBEAT

This class is full body, high energy but low impact! We start by properly warming up the body and move into Barre, center & floor work with cardio blasts. We always finish our HEARTBeat classes with a little core. Be prepared to sweat, work your entire body and get that heart-rate pumping!

YOGA CLASSES

All of our yoga classes are designed for all levels, our teachers will always provide modifications for all types of practitioners. New to yoga, or experienced, we have something for you!

ALL LEVELS FLOW

This class is a combination of sustained poses and steady flow, we focus on basic alignment and balancing energy with breath. Students will build strength, flexibility and concentration while cleansing the body and calming the mind. Suitable for all practitioners!

YIN YOGA

During Yin we will get deep into releasing the connective tissues of the body while calming the nervous system. This class is a beautiful way to balance an active lifestyle and explore mindfulness. Great for injury prevention, finding relaxation, and self care. There is no better way to end the day, suitable for all levels.

HIPS & LOW BACK

A dynamic and balanced yoga class designed to open the body through the avenue of the pelvis. The focus of this class will be on exploring range of motion in the hips, releasing tension from the low back and developing balanced strength in the legs, hips, glutes and core. The perfect compliment to your barre workout and summer activities such as biking, hiking and climbing! This is an all levels class - all bodies are welcome!

MINDBODY FLOW

Mind Body Flow is a mixed levels flow class that focuses on combining movement with breath in order to create a sustainable mind-body connection. The class will begin with centering, and will transition into a fluid and steady flow. Mindfulness will be a continuous theme throughout the practice, in order to move beyond the asana (physical) practice. All levels welcome!

COVID-19 STUDIO PROTOCOL

We have made some changes to the way we run classes in order to comply with Alberta Government guidelines. Some things to note when you arrive for your class:

  • In accordance with the newest Government of Alberta announcement, effective September 20, 2021 we will require proof of vaccination from all clients and customers to enter the shop or studio

  • Masks are required inside the studio, to and from your mat

  • Spots in the studio will continue to be staggered 1.5 meters apart from the center of each mat, all exercises in class will continue be in the center. There will be no travelling around the room. We will re-evaluate this rule at a later date

  • We will continue to sanitize surfaces & touch points between classes, all equipment is to be sanitized by the student using our medical grade sanitizer provided

  • We ask you to bring your own mat to the studio for each class. We will have extras for emergencies, all other equipment will be provided by WildHeart, however you are welcome to bring your own

  • Doors to the studio will be open 10 minutes prior to class, once you enter the studio please head straight to your mat/spot upstairs, stickers are placed on the floor for you to lay the top of your mat at

  • We can now allow walk-ins, however pre-registration is preferred to guarantee your spot in class

  • The bathroom & change-rooms are open, however we do recommend you come prepared for class with limited personal belongings as storage is no longer available downstairs 

  • If you are on the waitlist check MindBody prior to class to see if you are in, cancellation policy is 4 hours in advance, $10.00 charge per late cancellation or “no show”. You can sign up for classes up to two weeks in advance only

 

 

WildHeart has always been a place of community connection it is our highest priority to do everything we can to ensure the health and safety of our clients and staff. It goes without saying, but if you are experiencing any symptoms or have been in contact with someone who is a known or probable case of COVID please do not show up to the studio for any reason.
